Discipline & Perseverance

Sharing some scripture from this morning's message about Discipline. I am loving this series and how God is speaking to me through His Word and his disciple, our Pastor. These specific scriptures spoke deep to my heart because God has had me in a season of refinement. One one hand, it's been hard, lonely, and full of tears. And at the same time, so much personal growth and knowledge of scripture and who my God is has come out of this season. At times I wanted to give up, but the Holy Spirit was there, renewing my strength daily, sometimes minute by minute if I can be real for a second. It's been full of falls and get back ups. And today, I was reminded of the why. Today I was reminded of who I was a year ago to who I am now. All because of discipline. Staying quiet when God says hush and speaking up when God says speak. Go when He says go, and stay when He says stay. And the only way I can hear His gentle whisper is through the isolation to where it's just me and God....growing to know His voice, character, and Word.

Today, I am feeling grateful. Thank you God, for never ending your pursuit of me. Thank you for renewed strength daily, renewed grace daily. Thank you for your Word and discipline. May I always hear your whispers and obey you. In Jesus' name, AMEN. ♥️🙏✝️

‭‭2 Timothy‬ ‭3:14 -‬17‬ ‭NLT‬‬

[14] But you must remain faithful to the things you have been taught. You know they are true, for you know you can trust those who taught you. [15] You have been taught the holy Scriptures from childhood, and they have given you the wisdom to receive the salvation that comes by trusting in Christ Jesus. [16] All Scripture is inspired by God and is useful to teach us what is true and to make us realize what is wrong in our lives. It corrects us when we are wrong and teaches us to do what is right. [17] God uses it to prepare and equip his people to do every good work.
