Restored vs Refurbished

A friend sent this video to me and WOW!! What a word in season. This season of my life has been a tearing down of the old and restoring it back to what God originally created me to be. Not a flea market flip that cleans something up and makes it pretty. No, this has been stripping it all the way down and slowly restoring it back to His original.

The words in this video are so good.

You can't wish for restoration and not have the discipline to stick out the tough sanding and scraping.

Does it hurt? 100%

Does it make you want to give up? 100%

Is it easy? Absolutely not.

Is it lonely? Yep.

Is it worth it? YES, YES, YES!!!!

My amazing mentor always says "growth and comfort can not coexist". The same goes for restoration and comfort.

So why do it? Well, if not you then who?

Who will be the one to stop the generational trauma?

Who will be the one to stop the cycle of addiction?

Who will be the one to stop the cycle of divorce?

Who will be the one to stop the cycle of poverty?

If not you, then who? Your children, their children or will it continue to pass down from generation to generation?

Now is the time God is calling YOU to stand up and take your place as the warrior he called you to be. It's time to start training for war.

God is calling you. A yes to God may look like counseling: family, individual, marriage, a steady job, the removal of apps and internet from your phone, making it to church, finding a mentor and/or an accountability partner, & buying a bible in a translation you understand with study notes to teach you how to apply the living word to your life (Shocker: King James Version is not "the only version"). NLT, The Message, The Passion Translation, NIV...these are all really great translations.

Yes to God looks like so many different things.
