The Power of the Tongue

I came across this song on a random playlist that Spotify created for me based on the songs I typically listen to.

Death and life are in the power of the tongue, And those who love it and indulge it will eat its fruit and bear the consequences of their words). What better way to speak life than to come to our knees in worship to our Father. What we listen to and what we sing has an impact on our lives whether we believe it or not. Music happens to be an important part of my life...I love all music, but as I've struggled mentally over the years, I have found that Praise and Worship music gets me through it and grows me spiritually along the way. It's not that I stopped liking other music, I still do, but Praise and Worship just hits differently when you've been in the valley of darkness. There are so many songs that carry powerful lyrics that, when spoken out loud, have the power to change situations and lives.

This song penetrated deep into my soul. As I listen to the words over and over singing along (yeah, it's been one of those songs that is playing with volume up and on repeat), the Holy Spirit just moves so strongly. I shared the lyrics below, but I encourage you to listen to the song. It's so beautiful and such a powerful Word to speak over your life in the form of Worship.
